The Joppa Community:
Our foundation is dedicated to supporting all communities in the southern sector of Dallas County, with a special focus on the historic Joppa Community. Established in the 1860s and 1870s by freed slaves, Joppa holds a significant place in Dallas County's history as one of the oldest Freedman communities.
We collaborate closely with community leaders, local organizations, and participate actively in city initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life in Joppa. Our efforts are driven by a deep commitment to fostering sustainable development, promoting education, and advocating for equitable opportunities within this cherished community.
